Your hair story deserves someone who actually reads the whole damn book.
Because great hair here in Charlotte North Carolina isn’t just about what’s in your inspiration photos. It’s about your lifestyle, your personality, your hair history, what you’re willing to maintain, and how you want to feel when you look in the mirror. Whether your dream is the perfect blonde, dimensional color, or full-on fantasy hair, I want to hear the whole story—not rush you to the ending.

Ever feel like the idea in your head gets lost somewhere between the Pinterest board and the salon chair?
Maybe you have twelve inspiration photos that don’t quite match.
Maybe you know exactly how you want to feel, but have absolutely no idea what that means in hairstylist language.
Or maybe you’ve tried explaining it before—only to feel rushed, talked out of it, judged for wanting something different, or leave with perfectly “nice” hair that just didn’t feel like you.
You shouldn’t have to know the difference between balayage, foilyage, babylights, color melting, or whatever new word the hair industry invents next Tuesday just to be understood.
Your job is to show up at my suite in South End Charlotte, bring me the screenshots, the half-formed ideas, the “I don’t know, I just want it to feel more me,” and the wild what-ifs.
My job is to listen, ask the right questions, and help us figure out what your version of amazing actually looks like.
Where the science meets the magic.
I’m a self-proclaimed hair nerd who genuinely loves the chemistry behind great color almost as much as I love the creative part. Starting with an education overseas at University and now I’ve spent my career continuing my education, learning new techniques, obsessing over formulas, and figuring out how to turn inspiration into something that actually works on the real human sitting in my chair.
But knowing the science is only half of it.
I want to know your hair history, your real-life routine, what you’re willing to maintain, what you absolutely hate, and what you want to feel when you leave my chair. Then I take all of that information—the screenshots, the ideas, the chemistry, your hair’s health, and a little bit of magic—and build a roadmap that makes sense for you.
And sometimes that roadmap means we can jump straight into the transformation. Sometimes it means slow and low because keeping your hair healthy will always matter more to me than forcing a result your hair isn’t ready for.
I’ll always tell you what’s possible, what isn’t, and how we can get as close to your dream hair as safely and beautifully as possible.

A Few Footnotes About Your Hair Nerd
01 — My TBR is scientifically impossible to finish.
Fantasy, thrillers, dark romance, romantasy—bonus points for morally questionable characters and a plot that makes me yell at my Kindle.
04 — Iced coffee with just cream has no season.
It can be 32 degrees outside. The coffee is still iced. This hypothesis has been tested repeatedly.
02 — My house has more fur than floor.
Two giant Alaskan Malamutes plus the feline delegation means I'm basically one lint roller away from admitting the animals own the place.
05 — Being a nerd is basically my entire personality
Books, hair chemistry, cozy games, crafts, fantasy worlds, spooky shit—if there's something to learn, make, obsess over, or get unnecessarily excited about, I'm probably in.
03 — I’ve made it to six continents.
Apparently staying in one place was never really part of my character development. There’s still one continent left in this particular side quest.
So I would really Love to do your hair
You’ve read the footnotes, met the hair nerd, and gotten a peek behind the curtain. Now I want to hear your story—the screenshots, the big ideas, the “I have no idea what this is called,” and everything in between. Let’s figure out what your next chapter looks like together.

Don't just listen to the Narrator, Hear from a few Main Characters themselves.

Chelsea Kidd
Ashley made me feel comfortable from the moment I stepped in. She took the time to look at photos, talk to me about previous experiences, and really tailor the look I was going for. She even took the time to show me how to achieve the look with the tools I had at home and was comfortable with (no “well, if you practice you can learn!” like other stylists I’ve been to!) I can say I’ve never been happier with a cut and style. I’ll never go to another stylist!

Katy Shepherd
Ashley is my favorite hair stylist I’ve ever had! Not only does she know what she’s doing, she truly CARES. I’ve never had a stylist ask me the questions about myself and my hair that she did. Not only will you love your hair, you’ll want to be Ashley’s best friend because she’s JUST. THAT. AWESOME.
